9/1/13 Dear Students and Parents,             Hello! My name is Mrs. Bugher and I wanted to write a note to welcome you to my class. I am so glad that you are going to join the fun of first grade with me. I am really looking forward to meeting you on Wed., Sept. 4. We are going to have so much fun together. I know you are well rested and have enjoyed a wonderful summer with your family and friends. Wednesday will be a full day of school. You will need to bring a snack including a drink if you want something to drink in the middle of the morning.  We can not buy milk for snack. We will eat snack every morning. We will also eat lunch in the school cafeteria so you will need to bring in a lunch from home or you can buy lunch. Here are the food choices for Wed., Sept. 4 – Beef Burger/Cheese/Veggie on wheat bun Beef hot dog on wheat bun Yogurt Boat Sauteed Spinach NJ Garden Salad romaine NJ tomatoes Watermelon and canned fruit   Elementary Lunch price $2.30 Milk included with all lunches Milk choices; skim,  low fat (1%) white,  low fat (1/2%)chocolate   Here is the link for the September menu. http://www.ww-p.org/common/pages/DisplayFile.aspx?itemId=18887054             Also please bring to school a photograph of yourself having fun. We are going to make a class book so that we can get to know each other.  Please remember that you do not have to bring to school all of the supplies that I requested on Wednesday. Your backpack will be too heavy. So split the supplies up and bring some of them on Friday or Monday by the latest. Parents, please remember that THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2013 is the holiday of ROSH HASHANAH. School will be closed in observance that day.  But we will be open again for Friday, September 6 for another full day of school. So enjoy the last few days of relaxation and fun.  I am already thinking about you and planning fun activities to get us started. I am ready for Wednesday and I hope that you are too. Bring your smiles and be ready to have a great first day of school! Sincerely, Mrs. Linda Bugher
