Welcome Letters

 Dear Parents,

I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! Ensuring that we have strong lines of communication between home and school is an integral component of your child’s learning. When you and I work together as a team your child will surely benefit. With that said, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. The best way to reach me is via e-mail. My e-mail address is: Rebecca.singletonbaldrey@ww-p.org. Please send me an e-mail with your child’s name so I can begin creating my parent contact list. Also, you can always reach me by sending a note to school with your child. I will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible. Additionally, throughout the school year I will communicate with you through e-mail and by sending important papers home in your child’s Take Home folder. Therefore, it is important to check your child’s backpack and folder each night.

Each school day we will have a snack break. Packing a nutritious snack every day is strongly recommended. Some examples of good classroom snacks are: fruits, vegetables, cheese, crackers, pretzels, popcorn, Jell-O cups, real fruit juices, and water. Please do not send any type of nuts. We will have snack every day, including the first day of school. Please pack your child’s snack in a bag separate from his or her lunch.

Below is the list of supplies that your child will need for first grade. Please send these supplies with your child to school. Moreover, please send the highlighted items on the first day of school. Your child can bring the remaining items throughout the first week, as backpacks can be heavy for the little ones. This supply list can be found on our classroom website throughout the school year.
