Dear First Grade Friend,

Hello! I am Mrs. Sinha, your new first grade teacher. I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I hope you had a great summer and enjoyed time with your family and friends. I had a wonderful summer relaxing, reading, going to the beach, and of course spending time with my two sons. I can't wait to meet you and start our year together! Would you like to know a little more about me even before school starts? Here are a few of my FAVORITE things:

Colors: Purple and Green
Season: Spring
   Food: Sushi
Junk Foods: Doritos and Peppermint Patties
Book: I have SO many but I love The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the     Wash by Trinka Hakes Noble
Drinks: Water and Coffee
Hobbies: Reading and Taking Walks
Things To Do: Spend Time with my Family and
Teach First Grade

I know you will love first grade. I have been very busy getting the classroom ready so it is just right for learning new and amazing things. We will be reading about wonderful adventures in books, writing stories, playing all different kinds of games in math, learning about weather in science and so much more! When you come to school, you will have your very own desk.  Your desk will have your name on it so you will be able to find it easily.  If you bring your supplies (see list) on the first day of school, you will be able to put them in your new desk.

The first day of school is Thursday, September 6, 2018. It is a full school day so you will need to pack a lunch or bring lunch money for the cafeteria. Please remember to bring a healthy snack because we will have a snack time every day.

Please tell your parents to read the First Grade Supply List on my webpage so you will have everything you need to start the new school year.

I know you will have a great year filled with friends, fun and lots and lots of learning! I am really looking forward to creating wonderful memories with you in first grade!

Love,

   Mrs. Sinha
