            2015 Welcome Letter

                                                     August, 2015

Dear New First Grader,

Hello!!! My name is Mrs. Bugher and I am so excited that you are going to be in my class! I am looking forward to meeting you on our first day of school, Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 This will be a full day of school so you will need to bring with you a healthy snack (including a small snack and a drink if you want one) and a lunch. The cafeteria will be open if you would like to purchase a lunch that day.

I have requested that you bring to school a few supplies which you can find on my Teacher Web Page. Please label notebooks, binders, and folders with your name. You do not need to bring everything with you on the first day since this will make your backpack very heavy. I will supply a pencil box so please do not purchase one. In addition to the items requested on the General Supply list for Hawk School, I am also requesting that you bring in the following items:
     * A hand-held pencil sharpener with cover to catch shavings.
     * An eight-count size box of markers- may be wide or thin.
     * Optional - A pack of colored pencils –sharpened.

It would also be helpful to label all backpacks, lunchboxes, hats, jackets and coats with your name. Remember to do this throughout the year.

I can’t wait to meet you in September. To help me get to know you, please bring a photograph of yourself having fun during the summer. Please write your name lightly on the back. We will use these pictures to make a book for our classroom library so please bring it with you on the first day of school. I will return the photo in June.

I hope you are having fun this summer. I can’t wait to hear about the camps you went to and the vacations you enjoyed.

I am very excited to get the fun started this year! See you on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. I’ll be waiting for you in Room 221.

    Sincerely,

                                    Mrs. Linda Bugher
