Dear Maurice Hawk Families,
Audrey Vernick, author of numerous fiction and nonfiction picture books for children, will be visiting Maurice Hawk School on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017.
Ms. Vernick’s presentations will be unique and designed for each grade level. Students will learn about the process of making a book, the importance of writing, and creative ways to enhance their own writing. Her presentations are lively, interactive, and filled with humor. We are all looking forward to her visit.
To make the day more memorable, I have arranged to have several of Ms. Vernick’s books available for purchase. She has agreed to autograph them for the students. If you would like to purchase a book(s) for your child, please complete the order form below. Forms should be returned to me in the Maurice Hawk Media Center with EXACT cash or a check made payable to Maurice Hawk Student Activity Account. Change cannot be given.
Please return all order forms and payment by Wednesday, February 8th, 2017. Ms. Vernick will sign books purchased during this sale only. Children will receive their books on Thursday, March 16th, the day after the author’s visit.
