Welcome Page

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to a new school year! I hope you are having a wonderful summer! By the time you receive this letter, I will be busy getting Mod 7 ready for the first day of school!

During the first week of school we will be doing some activities to help us get to know one another better. Parents, on the first day of school, please send in 2 photographs of your child that they can share with the class. One photograph should be of your child with their family and one of your child doing something they enjoyed doing over the summer. Please do not send in original photographs, copies are fine. They will be used for a project and will not be returned.  Thanks for your help!

With September quickly approaching, I know many of you want to purchase school supplies. I have included a list of supplies your child will need for our class in addition to the items on the Maurice Hawk School grade level supply list provided on the school website. Please have your child bring the following supplies during the first week of school in a bag labeled with their name and mine. Please put your child’s name or initials on starred items. Thanks!

  • 3 Glue Sticks (white or clear glue please)*
  • 6 Sharpened Pencils*
  • 1 One Inch 3 Hole Binder* (One that does not zip closed)
  • 1 Package 8-Tab Binder Dividers
  • 1 Marble Notebook 7 ½” x 9 ½”*
  • 1 Plastic Pencil Box*
  • 3 Packages of 3”x3” Post It Notes
  • 1 Bottle of Hand Sanitizer to be shared with the class
  • 2 Boxes of Tissues to be shared with the class
  • 1 Package of Baby Wipes to be shared with the class

I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer! If you have any questions, please email me at peggy.watson@ww-p.org. I will get back to you as soon as I can. I am looking forward to seeing all of you in September and working towards a successful school year!

                                                                                    Best Wishes,

                                                                                    Mrs. Watson
