Welcome Letter

Summer 2017

Dear Parents,

Welcome!  The first day of school will be Wednesday, September 6th.  Our classroom is on the first floor of Town Center School in room B116. Please send a lunch and a healthy snack with your child on the first day of school. Your child will need a snack every day for school. We have a water fountain in our classroom, but some students enjoy having a juice box with their snacks, too.

At any time this year that you send your child to school with extra clothing or items please make sure to write your child’s name on it. I do not want anything to get lost or given to the wrong person by mistake. This is especially important during the colder months of the year!

Also, please work with your child by practicing putting jackets on/zippering them, packing and unpacking his/her backpack. These skills will help your child learn school routines easier and allow them to be as independent in the classroom as possible.

Children benefit most when parents and teachers work together. The best way to contact me is through email. My email is Melissa.Barletta@ww-p.org. I want to help your child grow as much as possible this year! Additional information about me and how I run the program can be found on my web page on the district’s website.

You can get ready for the upcoming school year by sending in the following supplies with your child’s name on them during the first few days of school:

  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 1 box of Crayola“Twistable” crayons (Please no colored pencils because they break too easily!)
  • 1 spiral notebook
  • 1 sturdy folder

I am excited for school to start in September! Enjoy the rest of the summer and I am looking forward to a wonderful school year.

                                                                  Sincerely,
                                                                  Mrs. Melissa Barletta
