Mrs. Lee

Welcome to the beginning of an exciting school year.  For those of you who do not know me, I am Jenna Lee and I will be your child’s teacher this school year.  I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and give you some information on the program.  I have been working in the field of special education since I was 18 years old.  I attended Rider University and earned a degree in both Elementary Education and Special Education.  This year I will be going into my 10th year of teaching and my 5th year in the West Windsor Plainsboro School District.  As you can tell, I love teaching and special education is truly my passion!  I enjoy learning new things and new strategies and trying to incorporate them into my classroom to help my students learn and succeed!  I currently live in Robbinsville with my husband and our daughter, Peyton, who turns two on September 6th.  We have two dogs, Lilly and Shorty.  I love to share pictures of them with my students so I am sure you will hear all about them!

I would also like to introduce you to room 109’s instructional assistants: Mrs. Ellen Fahey and Mrs. Terri DiVincenzo.  They too will be working with your child and helping support them throughout their day here at school

This year we will be working in cooperation with our therapists to promote academic, independence, and behavioral and social growth.  Instruction in the classroom will include individual, small group and whole group learning as well as focusing on independence through self-care routines and independent desk work.  Sensory and social structured play has also been incorporated into our classroom routines.  We will participate in a social group once a week with the district social skills teacher.  You can hear more details about our program and schedule at Back to School Night on September 15th.

I truly believe communication and working together to connect home and school is essential for our children to grow and succeed.  Please use the communication book as well as email to let me know of any important information about your child or if you have any questions or concerns.  I will read them and get back to you as soon as I can.   Also, please make sure to check your child’s folder each day.  I will be using this to send home any classroom and school information.

We are very excited to start off the school year and to get to know you and your child better.  I thank you for your cooperation and support!  Together we can make this a great school year full of learning and fun!

     Sunshine & Hugs!
