2nd and 3rd grade Spanish teacher at Wicoff School
5th grade Spanish teacher at Millstone River School
I grew up in Venezuela, where we dance Salsa and go to the beach all year round. I enjoyed eating mangos from our back yard trees, which our macaw and tucan used to knock down for us.
I love the opportunity to teach my students my language and culture. I have been an elementary school Spanish teacher at the West Windsor Plainsboro School District since the year 2000. I have a Bachelor degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters degree in Applied Spanish from the College of New Jersey.
As a representative for our school district, I have personally accepted the 2011
ACTFL Melba Woodruff Award for the
Exemplary Elementary Foreign Language Program from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages at their annual convention in Denver, Colorado. This award is awarded to one school district nationwide.
Our elementary World Language program has been classified as a New Jersey
"Model School" for the past five years.
