Physical Education

Welcome to Maurice Hawk Physical Education!

The last two weeks we have been playing soccer in physical education.  Week 1 we learned how to dribble and pass a soccer ball.  This week we started playing soccer games.

Physical education is an important class in your child's weekly schedule.  Kindergarten classes meet once a week for thirty minutes, and grades one through three meet twice a week for forty minutes.  You child's safety is our main concern.  We ask that all children wear sneakers that either tie or fasten with velcro.  Please no zippers (unless concealed under velcro) hooks, buckles, sneaker sandals, or slip ons.  Students can always change there shoes when the come to class if it is raining or snowing that day.

Working together we can make your child's experience in physical education a positive one.  If you have any questions , feel free to contact us.

We would like to thank all the students and parents that helped with Jump Rope For Heart 2017.  The grand total for the year was $3,559.20.   Besides helping the American Heart Association, the physical education department received $200 towards US Games!

Many thanks to The Maurice Hawk P.T.A for your generous grant to the Physical Education Dept. in 2017!

Good luck to all of our third graders as they move forward to Village and Millstone!

Remember while you shop for new sneakers,  they should have laces, velcro, or straps.
